Flying Officer HERON

A HERON is a realtive of the vulture with a difference. It will kill the living as well as scavenge the dead and dying. A Heron is infinitely more attractive than the vulture but far more macabre. Steve decided to leave the ERK's trade after seeing and hearing the boys return form operations and decided that the thrill of it all was in the air. He was an Aircraft Engine Technician but now resides as a full fledged pilot woithin the 401.He is good friends with Sean. And often can be seen discussing the finer points of A/C construction, stengths and weakness's in the mess. Before the war Steve was never really a civilian having served in the R.A.F as a Engine Tech/ Engineer. He and his wife, Jean, are devout church people, but in the craziness of the war, Steve has decided that it is not his decision to revenge the deaths of his many friends, but rather to arrange a meeting between the enemy and God. On his downtime, He and his wife enjoy music and Steve is a wonderfully talented drummer in a local band. He is good friends with Sean. And often can be seen
