The NAZGUL were the most loyal and terrible servants of the Dark-lord. In origin they were all mortal men, great and powerful lords in their own right, who ruled many lands throughout Middle-earth. Each was seduced by the gift of one of the Nine rings of Sauron, which imbued its wearer with great powers of sorcery, and an almost unlimited lifespan. But like all of the Dark-lord's gifts it was tainted, for each of the Nine rings was ruled by the One, and thus the nine wearers became slaves of the overbearing will of Sauron. Ultimately, by the end of the Third-age the Nazgul were terrifying undead creatures, existing in a terrible twilight world between life and death, with no thought or desire save that of the Dark-lord himselfHaving no substance to their form, Ringwraiths are forced to give shape to their nothingness by cloaking themselves in robes and armor, becoming a horrific mockery of their former appearance. Their gear is always intimidating in appearance, choosing to use elaborate, fluted plate armor and wielding greatswords. They prefer the use of weapons in battle, perhaps hearkening back to their days spent among the living. Ringwraiths can sense the life-force of living beings, giving them the advantage of the Blind Fight feat when in combat with living creatures. A Ringwraith that is defeated in combat does not perish, but instead it’s wounded spirit reforms over the course of several days. Indeed, a Ringwraith cannot be killed save by the destruction of The One Ring alone. The light of the sun robs a Ringwraith of its powers, and so it will not willingly confront a foe during the day under an open sky. To compensate for this, Ringwraiths travel abroad upon fell steeds raised under the shadow of Minas Morgul, which are immune to the Ringwraith’s unnatural aura. In most instances these mounts are large warhorses, but during the War of the Ring the Nazgul were seen riding great winged beasts.

NAZGUL has impressed everybody by flying the Jug. We all wondered how it would take off as it weighed over 7 tons! But, undaunted the NAZGUL has continually shrugged off the cat calls and jokes and stuck it out. Much to everyone's chagrin he has surpassed the squadrons expectations in his handling of the big fighter. He has learned his craft and mount to such a high efficiency that he is one, if not the, best Boom and Zoom pilot in 401. He has also proven to the unit that his dedication and loyalty to it are unparalleled. The NAZGUL is always itching to go up on combat ops and is always in his big beautiful JUG every chance he gets. He is well liked and respected by all in the group.

Marshall fits in nicely with the lads. He is currently single and devotes much of his time to skiing, guitar, photography and bicycling. Before the war Marshall was in the fledgling field of computers.
